IT support for small and medium businesses

Computers, email, printers, Wi-Fi, phones and the fifty small things that stop your staff working. We look after all of it, so nobody in your office has to be the accidental IT person.

What it is

IT support, in plain terms

IT support means you have somewhere to send a problem and someone whose job it is to fix it. Day to day that is a help desk your staff can reach by phone or email. Behind it sits the less visible work: keeping machines updated, watching backups actually complete, and dealing with problems before anyone notices them.

It also covers the things that only happen occasionally but always at a bad moment. A new staff member starting on Monday who needs a laptop, an email account and access to the right folders. A laptop that dies the week of end of financial year. A staff member leaving and their access needing to close cleanly.

Most small businesses do not need a full-time IT person. They need reliable access to one. That is what this is.

Why it matters

Why your business needs this

In most small businesses, IT support falls to whoever is best with computers. That person has another job. The work gets done late, done partly, or not at all, and nobody finds out which until something important breaks.

Downtime is expensive and hard to see

If five staff lose an hour because email is down, that is not one problem, it is five hours of paid time plus the customers who did not get a reply.

Security is now a small business problem

Most attacks are automated and do not care how big you are. Multi-factor authentication, current patches and working backups stop the overwhelming majority of them, and none of it happens by itself.

Backups only count if they restore

Plenty of businesses have a backup running. Far fewer have ever tested restoring from it. We check, because the day you find out is the worst possible day.

Staff changes are a security event

Someone leaving with live access to email, files and systems is a genuine risk. Handled properly it takes minutes. Handled badly it can sit open for years.

Why through us

One team instead of four suppliers

Generic IT support has a hard edge to it. Ring the average provider about your website being down, or your Google Business listing, or an email that keeps landing in a customer's junk folder, and you will be told that is not their area. Technically true. Not much help.

We do not have that edge, because we run the whole stack. Your domain, your DNS, your email, your website, your phone numbers and your computers all sit with the same team. When email stops arriving, we can look at the mailbox, the DNS records and the hosting in one sitting instead of arranging a three-way call between suppliers.

It also means we already know your setup before something breaks. We are not reading a handover document written by somebody else. We configured it, so we know why it is the way it is.

What you get

What is included

Help desk for your staff

A phone number and an email address your team can use directly, with problems tracked so nothing gets forgotten.

Managed devices

Windows and Mac machines kept patched, protected and configured consistently, rather than each one being slightly different.

Security essentials

Multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, sensible password practice, and a review of who has access to what.

Backup and recovery

Backups for devices and cloud data, checked regularly, with a tested path back from ransomware or a failed drive.

Onboarding and offboarding

New starters set up ready to work on day one. Departures closed off properly the day they leave.

Hardware and procurement

Advice on what to buy, sourcing it, and setting it up before it lands on the desk.

How it runs

From first call to done

You will always know what stage the work is at and what happens next.

  1. We look at what you have

An audit of devices, accounts, email, backups and access. You get a plain-language summary of what is fine and what is exposed.

  2. Fix what is urgent

Anything genuinely risky gets handled first, usually multi-factor authentication, backups and old accounts still switched on.

  3. Standardise

We bring machines and accounts onto a consistent setup so problems become predictable rather than one-off mysteries.

  4. Support day to day

Your staff raise issues, we resolve them, and you get visibility of what is being asked and how long it takes.

  5. Review with you

Regular check-ins on what keeps breaking, what is coming up, and what is worth spending money on next.

Common questions

We only have a handful of staff. Are we too small?

No. Small teams are most of what we do. A five-person business has the same email, security and backup needs as a fifty-person one, just less of it.

How do we contact you when something breaks?

Phone or email, whichever suits the moment. Every request is logged so it does not get lost, and you can see the history.

Do you come on site?

Yes, when the job needs it. A lot of problems are faster to solve remotely, but hardware, cabling and new office setups need someone in the room.

Can you work with the computers we already own?

Yes. We will tell you honestly which machines are worth keeping and which are costing you more in lost time than a replacement would cost.

What about our business phones?

Covered as well. Numbers, call routing and handsets sit with the same team, which is why a phone problem does not turn into a separate supplier conversation.
